Minnesota farmers have started harvesting corn and soybeans.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly crop weather report for Minnesota says as of Sunday, 2 percent of corn was harvested. That's the same level as last year but slightly behind the five-year average of 3 percent.

SACRAMENTO, California (AP) — The dairy group that created the "Got Milk?" campaign is back with a new marketing strategy that already is generating plenty of buzz.

Milk production has slowed down in Wisconsin and Minnesota, in part because dairy cows there haven't been as productive.
Wisconsin dairy farmers harvested 2.28 billion pounds of milk in May. That's a two percent decrease from May of last year.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Heavy rains and cool temperatures are conspiring to delay crop development and slow fieldwork across Minnesota.
In its weekly crop weather report for Minnesota, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said Monday that soils are saturated in many areas, and many fields have standing water. Topsoil moisture supplies are rated 50 percent adequate and 50 percent surplus.
