Tigers trailed 1-0 after 1. Luverne would take control of the game in the 2nd period scoring 3 goals in a 37 second time span, including a shorthanded goal to put the Cardinals up 4-0. Albert Lea tried to rally in the 3rd period, At the 6:26 mark Tim Chalmers scored, his 4th of the season, assisted by Josh Behrends to put the Tigers on the board. At the 15:10 mark, skating with an empty net, Joseph Yoon with his team leading 17th goal, assisted by Max Edwin, to cut the lead to 2. Luverne out shot Albert Lea 37-23. Tigers 9 game winning streak comes to an end and are now 11-4 on the season. Albert Lea host Austin on Thursday.
