Albert Lea Hockey teams pick up win on Hockey Day Albert Lea

Hockey Day 2023 January 28th

Girls Hockey

-14th ranked Albert Lea 7, Fairmont 0  Tigers scored 4 in the first, 2 in the 2nd and one more in the 3rd.  6 different Tigers scored; Haley Austinson (2 goals), Shelby Evans, Morgan Goskeson, Liley Steven, Mika Cichosz, and Syndey Kolker.  Albert Lea outshot Fairmont 30-3.  Albert Lea improves to 13-7-1.  Tigers face Fairmont again on Monday.

Boys Hockey

-19th ranked Albert Lea 4, Faribault 1   Tigers jumped out to a 3-0 lead after 1; thanks to goals by Josh Behrends, Eli Farris, and Joseph Yoon.  Falcons cut the lead to 3-1 in the 2nd.  Joseph Yoon would score again with his team leading 20th goal to put Albert Lea back up by 3 goals.  Albert Lea improves to 6-3 in the Big Nine and 13-5 overall.  Albert Lea will host Austin on Monday
