Demonstrators in Berlin have called for more environment-friendly agricultural practices at a protest in Berlin, among them farmers with more than 150 tractors. Thousands of people gathered at the German capital’s Brandenburg Gate on Saturday to protest under the motto “We’ve had enough.” The demonstration, which has become an annual event, coincides with a yearly agriculture and food fair in Berlin called International Green Week. Organizers said this year could “make or break the transition to sustainable, climate-friendly farming” in the European Union. Supporters at the Berlin protest included environmental and animal protection groups.
