MSR&PC to visit Uzbekistan

Farmer-leaders from the Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council (MSR&PC) are heading to Uzbekistan to see the potential in this emerging market. In August, the Council helped make history when the first shipment of U.S. soymeal arrived in the country.

Using checkoff resources, MSR&PC has funded projects in Uzbekistan since 2020. These investments helped with the first delivery of U.S. soymeal to the country. The trade mission is the next step in investigating the new market.

Farmer-leaders will travel throughout Uzbekistan during the trade mission. The agenda includes: visits to the oldest crushing plant in the country, the largest fish farm in the country, a poultry farm, feed mills and meetings with contacts in Uzbekistan. Follow along with the Council’s Twitter and Facebook accounts as farmer-leaders continue to network and explore more of the developing market in Uzbekistan.
