NRHEG Baseball and Softball both pick up wins, and the rest of the scoreboard from May 19th

Baseball

NRHEG 20, WEM 8

Panthers were up 4-2, when both teams exploded with runs in the 4th. NRHEG sent 17 batters to the plate, and scored 11, to make it 15-2.  WEM would answer with 6 in the bottom halve.  NRHEG would put things away with one in the 5th, and 4 in the 6th, to win 20-8 in 6 innings.  Andrew Phillips led the offense going 5 for 5 with 2 doubles and a triple.  Panthers are now 8-3 on the season

 

Softball

NRHEG 11, Tri City United 5

Sophie Stork got the win on the mound, allowing 4 earned run, 5 hits, striking out 8 and walking 2

Ava Kyllo led the offense going 4 for 4 with 4 runs scored. Stork was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles

With the win NRHEG improves to 13-5 on the season

 

USC 11, Truman Martin Luther GHEC 6

USC jumped out to a 8-0 lead after an inning and a half

Mariah Anderson with the win on the mound, giving up 3 earned runs, 9 hits, striking out 14 and walking just 2

Anderson went 3 for 5 with a run and a rbi, Kendal Harpestad 3 for 3 with 3 runs scored, and Hannah Meyer 2 for 4 with 3 runs scored

 

Faribault  Bethlehem Academy 3, Alden Conger-Glenville Emmons 2

Game was shorten to 5 innings due to weather.  AC-GE led 2-0 after a halve inning, but BA would score single runs in the 3rd, 4th and 5th to come back for the 3-2 win

 Avery Hornberger on the mound for  AC/GE 5 innings, 3 runs, 6 hits, 1 walk and 1 strike out
