Tigers fall to Faribault in opener 50-12

Albert Lea dropped their opener on Friday night to Faribault 50-12. Falcons jumped out to a 36-0 lead after the first quarter, and were up 50 to nothing at halftime. Hunter Nelson for the Falcons threw 5 touchdown passes.
Dakota Jahnke connected with Max Edwin on two touchdown passes in the 2nd half for Albert Lea
Game was delayed twice, because of the sprinklers going on in Faribault

Rushing leaders were Senior – Cole Janssen(8 carries for 31 yards) and Junior – Brycin Kirsch(9 carries for 31 yards). Receiving leader was Junior – Max Edwin who had 4 receptions for 136 yards and 2 touchdowns. Senior – Garrett Giles also had 2 receptions for 14 yards.
