Tournament Information for the State Bound Albert Lea Girl’s Hockey team

Tournament Information:
▪ The Tigers will play on Wednesday, February 22nd at 6pm in the Class A Quarterfinal Round at the Xcel Energy Center.
They will face off against the #1 seeded Warroad.
▪ If the Tigers win on Wednesday they will play in the Semifinal Round on Friday, February 24th at the Xcel Energy Center. If
they lose on Wednesday they will play in the Consolation Round on Thursday, February 23rd at TRIA Rink in St. Paul. Game
times are TBD.

Ticket Information:
▪ Tickets will be $20/Adult and $13/Student for Championship Sessions and $15/Adult and $10/Student for Consolation
Sessions. Please review refund policies as we may experience inclement weather this week!

 

Spectator Information:
We expect all spectators that attend in support of our ALHS Tigers to follow all MSHSL spectator expectations. Act with class, treat
everyone with respect including tournament staff, Xcel Energy Center staff, and officials. Represent our community well!
• Spectators should enter Gate 1 at the Xcel Energy Center on Wednesday.
• The Xcel Energy Center is cashless. All purchases must be made with credit or debit cards.
• No outside food, beverages, or noisemakers are allowed. Be prepared for the Xcel Energy Center’s bag policy.

▪ KATE Radio 1450AM (web link) will be broadcasting the event.
Send-Off Information:
• We will be having a pep fest at ALHS to celebrate our girls hockey state tournament team. The pep fest is closed to the public
as it is during the school day.
• Family members and community members are invited to send the team off from the arena on Tuesday at 12:30pm. We ask
that community and family congregate in the lobby of the arena and send the team off with well wishes and support!
• We will have Albert Lea Public Safety escort the team bus out of town shortly after the send off at the arena.
Fan Bus Information:
▪ Sign-up will be available for a student fan bus starting Tuesday in the high school office. Cost is $10 and tickets will be
purchased online. Space may be limited and sign-ups will be first come first serve.
o The cost of the fan bus does not include a ticket to the game. Spectators will still need to purchase tickets for
themselves (see above Ticket Information). Proof of ticket will be required at the time of reserving a seat on the bus.
o Please review refund policies for the Xcel Energy Center/MSHSL tickets as we may experience inclement weather this week!
o For Wednesday’s session the bus will depart at 3:30pm from ALHS and return immediately following the ALHS
game (bus will not stay through the remainder of the session).
o No local busing or school transportation will be available after returning home Wednesday evening. Please plan for
rides home after the fan bus returns to ALHS after the event.
o ALHS students will be excused from school to attend sessions the remainder of the week, parents must call in Parent
Permission.
o Since all future sessions are tentative, any additional fan busses will be communicated at a later time.
