Coaches Comment from Joe Kuechenmeister: We struggled in our first outing of the season. It always takes a bit to shake the nerves and get into a rhythm, but we had a hard time finding our groove all evening. Credit T/ML/GHEC for playing a cleaner match. They really did a nice job keeping us off balance defensively, which made it hard to get in system and run an effective offense. While it was a loss, it was just nice to get that first one out of the way, especially when you have several kids playing bigger roles on the Varsity floor this season. We learned some things about ourselves tonight that we’re going to work to correct before we hit the court again at Madelia on Thursday.

USC is now 0-1 (0-0 Gopher) and plays again on Tuesday at Madelia.
