Albert Lea Boy’s Golf wins Triangular against Holy Angels and Richfield

The Albert Lea Boys Golf team hosted Academy of Holy Angels Stars and Richfield High School Spartans on Wednesday at Green Lea Golf Course in their first non conference match of the season. Weather conditions were hot and extremely windy which provided challenges throughout the day. Gusts of up to 45 mph made for difficult shots but the boys emerged victorious with a team score of 308. Holy Angels shot 340 and Richfield 384. The Tigers were led by Drew Teeter who turned in a 71 which gave him his second consecutive round under par. The second score came from freshman Ben Rasmussen who posted a 77. He was followed by Senior Tim Chalmers with a 79 and Noah Teeter finished with an 81. Albert Lea’s next match will take place on Monday, April 17th when the Tigers take on Northfield in their second conference matchup at Northfield Golf Club.
