Citizen State Bank Athlete of the Week: Erika Bute

In a bit of a changeup for our award, this week’s Citizen State Bank Athlete of the Week is actually no longer a high school athlete. Erika Bute now plays volleyball at Augustana University in South Dakota, but she used to play three sports (volleyball, basketball and softball) for Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons while also graduating as valedictorian and serving as class president. Last week, Sports Minneapolis named Erika the Minnesota Girls High School Athlete of the Year, and she is also our Athlete of the Week.

Erika stopped by the KATE studios after picking up her award in the cities to talk about the experience and her first season at Augustana with Nate Dickinson. You can hear the full interview below.
