NASS MN Crop Progress

Minnesota experienced mild temperatures and
widespread snow resulting in 4.7 days suitable for
fieldwork for the week ending November 5, 2023,
according to the USDA’s National Agricultural
Statistics Service. Harvest and fall tillage continued.
Livestock were being brought in from pasture and
doing well with no issues reported.
Topsoil moisture supplies were rated 8 percent very
short, 22 percent short, 65 percent adequate, and
5 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies were
rated 11 percent very short, 38 percent short,
48 percent adequate, and 3 percent surplus.
Corn harvested for grain reached 86 percent, 2 days
behind last year but 5 days ahead of the 5-year average.
Moisture content at harvest averaged 18 percent.
Soybean harvest reached 97 percent.
Sunflower harvest reached 84 percent.
