Andrew Phillips was selected by the Minnesota High School Baseball Coaches Association to represent southern MN in the All Star series this past weekend. Andrew and the southern MN team competed against 5 other teams; 4 from the Twin Cities metro area and 1 from northern MN. The southern MN team ended up taking 2nd place. This was a great way for Andrew to finish out his high school baseball career. He got the chance to play with and against several of his Minnesota Blizzard teammates, who he played with over the last 4 years. Andrew, a senior at NRHEG, was also selected to the Gopher All-Conference team, the All-Section team, and the All-State team for his play during the 2023 high school baseball season. Andrew is playing for the Owatonna Aces amateur baseball team this summer and will be attending South Dakota State University on a baseball scholarship this fall. Andrew is the son of Aaron and Jeanette Phillips of Hartland, MN.
