Tiger Baseball jumps out to 8-0 lead, and holds on for 13-7 win over East (Listen back to broadcast)

Albert Lea 13, Mankato East 7

Tigers scored 6 in the first, and 2 in the 2nd to jump out 8-0. East would cut the lead in half with 4 in the fourth to make it 8-4. Albert Lea would answer right back with 2 in the 5th and 3 in the 6th to go up 13-4.  East would make things interesting in the 7th. They would score 3 times to cut the lead to 13-7, and have bases loaded with just one out, but Logan Davis in relief would get the Tigers out of the jam.

Jacob Skinness went 6 innings allowing 4 runs off of 8 hits, struck out 1 and walked 2 to pick up the win.

Andrew Westeng led the offense going 3 for 4 with 2 triples, 3 runs scored and 4 RBIs, Layton Yost went 2 for 4, as the Tigers had 10 total hits.  Albert Lea has won 6 of their last 8 and are now 6-7 on the season, East beat Albert Lea 12-1 earlier this season and they fall to 7-6
