Fatal Accident on I35

The Minnesota State Patrol reported a fatal accident on Interstate 35 in Freeborn County Thursday afternoon. According to the State Patrol, at 3 p.m. A 2017 Freightliner semi was traveling northbound on Interstate 35, near mile marker 3 in Freeborn County when it collided with Guard Rail and subsequently started on fire. 64-Year old Larry Bamsey from Spirit Lake, Iowa was pronounced dead on the scene. Assisting the State Patrol included the Glenville Fire Department, Albert Lea Fire Department, Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Mayo Ambulance and MNDOT.
