Lake Mills Cross Country hosted Invite on Monday

The Lake Mills Cross Country teams had their home meet on Monday, October 4 at Rice Lake Golf Course. The Boys team finished 2nd out of 5 teams, losing only to Forest City. Justin Rygh won the meet with a 16:47.07, 41 seconds ahead of 2nd place. He ran an amazing race, making it his 2nd best time of the season, and 3rd time in the 16 minute time slot.
Knute Rogne finished 8th with a 18:16.30. And most of the boys got their 2nd or 3rd fastest time of the season. The top 5 runners were all under 20 minutes!
The girls had a medal winner with Josie Helgeson finishing 7th with a time of 22:32.24. It was her second fastest time of the season. All the girls did amazing, with many getting their second fastest of the season too. They placed 3rd out of 4 teams, but only 3 points behind 2nd place.
The kids had an amazing crowd with lots of Bulldog fans coming out to cheer them on. Great town support on a beautiful night with some great running!
